“Nothing is impossible with God.” (NIV)
Nothing is impossible with God! This is one of the greatest affirmations of faith that anyone can say. Mary could surrender because she knew her God could do anything. I love the authenticity of this story so much. She didn’t immediately say, “yeah, sure, whatever.” She was afraid, she was greatly troubled, she questioned. Then, she surrendered and made this very powerful affirmation of faith. Nothing is impossible with God. Nothing is a HUGE word. It means just that - nothing. It doesn’t mean nothing… well, except for this, or that. It means NOTHING. Period. Finito. The end. NOTHING!
We all have in our lives those “impossible” circumstances. Take comfort from Mary. Know that as you process, and surrender, then you too can say (and live) with the conviction that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD. Amen and Amen. Or as my kids would say, “How cool is that?!”
